The idea
That Velvet Lady is a luxury fashion desk for readers who track the houses closely. We started it because most of what we were reading about designer style was either a listicle rehashing runway wire copy or a brand press release rewritten as editorial. We wanted an honest lens: first-hand analysis, specific verdicts on collections, real retail prices, and a clear line between an editorial recommendation and an affiliate link.
Who we are
A small editorial team filing weekly on the collections, creative-director moves and cultural moments shaping luxury fashion. Between us we cover the Big Four fashion weeks (New York, London, Milan, Paris), the resort circuit, and the archive sales worth showing up for. We publish weekly and we answer reader mail.
